Opening the new season with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Salzburg, September has so far seen Semyon Bychkov make further appearances with the Orchestra at the Grafenegg Festival, BBC Proms and Lucerne Festival. The latter half of Bychkov’s European tour with the Orchestra takes him to the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, the Musikverein in Vienna for the opening concert of the Vienna Philharmonic’s 2015-16 subscription concert series as well as the Wiener Konzerthaus and Brucknerhaus Linz.

Prior to three performances of Mahler’s Sixth Symphony with the Munich Philharmonic at the end of the month, Semyon Bychkov pairs Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony with Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique for two performances with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the latter of which will be presented as part of the Dvořák Prague International Music Festival.
