March sees Semyon Bychkov and the Czech Philharmonic enter the final stage of their Tchaikovsky recording cycle committing Symphony Nos. 1 and 2 to disc which will form part of Decca Classics’ Tchaikovsky Project boxset release at the end of August this year.
At the end of the month, Bychkov travels to Rome to conduct the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in music by Bruch and Schubert (21-23 March). He then travels to Spain to conduct the Orquesta Nacionales de Espana in his second outing of Smetana’s complete Má vlast (29-31 March).
