The beginning of May sees Semyon Bychkov present his second programme with the New York Philharmonic performing works by Bruch and Strauss from 2-4 May and joined by Katia and Marielle Labèque as soloists. A week later, he returns to The Cleveland Orchestra to conducts three movements from Smetana’s Má vlast alongside Glanert and Bruch (9-11 May).
More Smetana can be heard at the end of the month when Bychkov conducts the full cycle with the Munich Philharmonic on 26, 27 and 29 May.
