On 23 and 24 September, Semyon Bychkov and Czech Philharmonic launch the orchestra’s 125th season with music by Shostakovich and Dvořák. The second performance will be broadcast and streamed live on Czech TV, Mezzo Live HD and medici.tv. Following the two concerts in Prague, Bychkov, the Orchestra and soloists Daniil Trifonov and Selina Ott travel to Vienna to present the same programme at the Wiener Konzerthaus.
Earlier in the month on 4 September, Bychkov and the Czech Philharmonic will open the 2020 Dvořák Prague International Music Festival with an all Dvořák programme available for international viewing for free via the Czech TV’s web player iVysilani.
In between these dates, Bychkov can be heard in Amsterdam conducting the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and pianist Kirill Gerstein in music by Shostakovich and Dvořák and (16, 17, 18 and 20 September). The final concert on 20 September at 3.45pm CET will be live streamed via the Royal Concertgebouw’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
