Starting in Taipei on October 14, Semyon Bychkov and the Czech Philharmonic will embark on an extensive tour in Asia, with concerts in Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. In addition to complete performances of Smetana’s Má Vlast in each country, repertoire for the tour includes Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 8 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, as well as Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major with Seong-Jin Cho and Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in B minor with Anastasia Kobekina in Japan and, Jaemin Han in Seoul.
The two-week tour finishes in Seoul on 29 October, and will be documented online via the Czech Philharmonic’s website and social media channels.
