To celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Czech Philharmonic, three special celebration concerts will take place from the 1st to 2nd April under the baton of Chief Conductor and Music Director, Semyon Bychkov. These performances will guide audiences on a journey through time, honouring the orchestra’s rich 130-year history. The evening’s programme blends rare archival recordings with live performance, while video footage and photographs projected on a large screen bring the story of the Czech Republic’s leading orchestra vividly to life, creating a dialogue between its past and present. The programme features works by Dvořák and Smetana, including the first movement (Adagio. Allegro molto) and the second movement (Largo) from Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 (From the New World), and the overture to The Bartered Bride, and The Moldau (Vltava).
