Next month’s opening of the Czech Philharmonic’s season with Chief Conductor and Music Director, Semyon Bychkov, comes in the middle of guest engagements at four prestigious festivals: Stockholm’s Baltic Festival, the Helsinki Festival, the Lucerne Festival and Dvořák’s Prague. Joining Bychkov and the Orchestra for the opening of the season, as well as the festivals in Stockholm and Helsinki is violinist Karen Gomyo, who will perform Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1; at the Lucerne Festival and at Dvořák’s Prague guest soloist, Yunchan Lim, will perform Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major.
