His trio of subscription concerts on 10th, 11th and 12th January will see him conduct Shostakovich’s incendiary Symphony No. 11 ‘The Year 1905’, and this is preceded by Mozart’s G major Piano Concerto K453 featuring legendary pianist Menahem Pressler, who is making his debut with the orchestra at the age of 90! The concert on Saturday 11th January will be webcast live (at 8pm Berlin time) in the Digital Concert Hall – at the following link http://www.digitalconcerthall.com/en/concert/16878?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=DCH+Newsletter+for+the+09012014&utm_content=DCH+Newsletter+for+the+09012014+CID_a1100585ed8d18b978ecf73508091a35&utm_source=Email%20Newsletter – and a trailer is available featuring an exclusive behind-the-scenes excerpt from the rehearsals.
